2026 Annual Meeting
“Growing Community,
Garden by Garden”
A Gathering of Our Green Guerillas Community
Since 1973, Green Guerillas has supported community gardens across New York City as places where people grow food, build relationships, and create positive, lasting change.
What began as a grassroots effort to reclaim vacant lots has grown into a citywide movement rooted in environmental justice, community leadership, and equitable access to green space.
Our 2026 Annual Meeting brings together gardeners, youth leaders, partners, and supporters to celebrate this collective work and reflect on the impact of the past year.
This gathering is a space to share updates across our programs, recognize the dedication of our community, and strengthen the connections that sustain neighborhood gardens across the city.
Together, we’ll explore how community-led green spaces continue to serve as powerful hubs for learning, organizing, and civic engagement.
As we look ahead, we invite participants to join us in imagining what’s next and how we can continue growing stronger—garden by garden.
