Our Gardens Are More Than Patches of Green.

For over 50 years, Green Guerillas has helped turn vacant lots into sanctuaries of peace, collaboration, and belonging. They are sanctuaries of peace, collaboration, and belonging in a world that often feels divided.

What protects these sanctuaries? Their champions: elders, youth, neighbors, and storytellers who form a living shield around our community gardens.

  • 🌟 34 Youth interns supported 55 gardens in 4 boroughs

  • 📚 Youth-led workshops reached 700+ peers and community members

  • 🥘 Open Garden Days brought neighbors together for food and culture

  • 🌱 The Seed & Tool Library grew, equipping more gardens with essentials

  • 🤝 Partnerships expanded citywide with youth gaining national recognition

  • 🌻 Over 100+ NYC community gardens receive materials and supplies
