A Living Legacy in Bed-Stuy

Allie Huggins found her place in this world in Brooklyn, putting down roots on Vernon Avenue in Bed-Stuy, just a block from where her sister Sarah Elisabeth lives. Her building, owned by Ena K. McPherson, sits near several community gardens integral to the life of the neighborhood, such as Tranquility Farm, Vernon and Throop Community Garden and T&T Vernon Block Community Garden. Ena has played a key role in the flourishing of these and other community gardens in New York City. To learn more about how Allie’s family chose to establish the Allie Huggins Tribute Fund with Green Guerillas, please visit giving.alliehuggins.nyc .

This Fund connects Allie’s spirit to the gardens she loved through support for Bed-Stuy community garden projects. Gifts made here will be directed to Bed-Stuy gardens ensuring a transparent and meaningful impact close to home.

Green Guerillas is deeply grateful to Allie’s family for choosing Green Guerillas to create this fund, allowing her spirit of connection and care to continue growing through New York City’s gardens.
