Farewell To Our 2024 Cohort
As we wrap up this year’s Summer Youth Tillers program, we are thrilled to share the remarkable accomplishments of our dedicated participants. Over the summer, these incredible young individuals have not only honed essential gardening skills such as composting, mulching, and weeding, but they have also engaged deeply with community-centric projects. Their efforts extended beyond gardening to building infrastructure like tables and pathways, all while learning about the significant impact of urban agriculture on food justice and community health.
Our Tillers have also grown personally and professionally, developing leadership skills, enhancing their teamwork abilities, and forging meaningful connections within the community. From participating in workshops on topics like the Farm Bill to conducting hands-on projects that transform local green spaces, their journey has been one of immense growth and contribution. We are proud to have guided these young leaders and excited to see how they will continue to influence and enrich their communities.
