Maya Habanero

$0.00
sold out

From Hudson Valley Seeds Company. Purchased in 2023.

Description and growing instructions below from Hudson Valley Seeds.

An excellent Habanero for shorter seasons.

A red, elongated habanero type that ripens reliably in the Northeast! We planted our 2016 trial crop quite late, yet this variety came right in with the rest, giving us loads of hot peppers for several weeks. This pepper is quite hot, although we find it not as hot as true orange habaneros. The yields are perfect for capturing some summer heat, and make a great hot sauce, either on their own or blended with other peppers.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS.

Sow indoors 6-10 weeks before last frost. Requires heat for germination; can take 10-14 days. Grow seedlings in a warm, well-lit environment; supplemental light usually required. Transplant 3 weeks after last frost in full sun.
