Alison Fischer

Director of Development

Alison serves as Green Guerillas' Director of Development. She grew up in New Jersey and California, where she developed an early interest in horticulture and agricultural science while in high school. She later earned a degree in Political Science with a minor in Human Rights from CUNY Hunter College.

As a resident of Greenpoint, Alison became involved in local environmental remediation efforts and completed a Horticultural Fellowship with the North Brooklyn Parks Alliance, studying native plant propagation and permaculture. This experience ultimately led her to Green Guerillas, where she now leads strategy for grant portfolio development, donor relations, and individual giving.

Prior to joining Green Guerillas, Alison worked with nonprofits focused on housing, criminal justice reform, worker rights, and community development, managing government grants, federal contracts, and funding from foundations and corporate partners.

Earlier in her career, she supported institutional advancement at CUNY City College, managed development operations at Asia Society, and completed a Human Rights Fellowship with the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, where she focused on labor rights and worker exploitation in global supply chains.
