Many thanks to the 125 people who joined Green Guerillas and a diverse group of Western Queens youth at our 2013 Film Festival at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens. Everyone enjoyed food, films, and conversation.
Harlem Green Community Garden Tour
Saturday, August 31st, 10 AM to 5 PM
Join Harlem’s community gardeners on a free uptown tour of some of NYC’s most beautiful, historic community gardens.
The tour starts at 10 AM with breakfast at the JD Wilson Memorial Garden at 219 West 122nd Street (AC Powell & Frederick Douglass Blvds) and ends with a traditional Harlem BBQ at the William A. Harris community garden.
The Parks Department will provide a shuttle bus for those who cannot walk or bike the tour.

Join us as we enjoy award-winning documentary films that celebrate the soil we cultivate, the air we breathe, the food we eat — and the people who fight for Mother Earth.
Film screenings will run from 6-9, culminating with a Skype Q&A session with Symphony of the Soil director/producer Deborah Koons Garcia.
Doors open at 4pm. Come early for the GG Eco-Fest from 4-6, featuring presentations from leaders and innovators in the NYC urban agriculture and nonprofit worlds, as well as free snacks and refreshments!
