Green Guerillas is hard at work organizing plant giveaways for community gardeners in the East Village, Central Brooklyn, and the South Bronx. Our giveaways will feature custom-seeded organic fruit and vegetable seedlings and herbs, including varieties that are drought resistant and hardy enough to thrive in NYC growing conditions. A selection of flowers will help community gardeners add splashes of color to garden beds.
In May we will invite community gardeners to come together to pick up plants and seeds, get information on growing techniques, and trade garden stories. Community gardeners continually tell us the plants they get at GGs giveaways help boost their community garden-grown harvests in important ways.
PLEASE MAKE A DONATION to support these important giveaways.
