April 19th, 6 pm to 8 pm
GGs members, community gardeners, and community garden supporters: please join us for an evening of conversation. Learn about GGs programs for 2017.
Enjoy our featured speaker:
Michael Ableman, farmer and author of Street Farm: Growing Food, Jobs, and Hope on the Urban Frontier, an inspirational account of residents in the notorious Low Track in Vancouver, British Columbia―who joined together to create an urban farm as a means of addressing the chronic problems in their neighborhood. It is a story of recovery, of land and food, of people, and of the power of farming and nourishing others as a way to heal our world and ourselves.
We will gather at the First Presbyterian Church at 12 W. 12th Street in Manhattan, just west of 5th Avenue.
Enjoy food and refreshments. Free raffle!
